Microsoft Dynamics NAV provides an easy way to copy and use your job planning lines in a time sheet. In that way, you only have to enter the information in one location and have the line information always be correct.

The following procedure describes how to quickly add job planning lines to a time sheet.

To copy job planning lines to a time sheet

  1. In the Search box, enter Time Sheets, and then choose the related link.

  2. In the Time Sheet List window, select a time sheet for the relevant time period. On the Home tab, in the Process group, choose Edit Time Sheet.

  3. On the Home tab, in the Lines group, choose Create lines from job planning. If there are job planning lines in the time sheet time period, Microsoft Dynamics NAV copies the lines to the time sheet that match the Resource No. on the time sheet.
